While building his profile Omar already knew who to add and what he was interested in. Connecting to his friends that he met during his work experience and building his network was his first step because they were in similar career paths what he wanted to follow and understand more about.

After connecting to his friends, he started including lecturers he worked with that had more experience in I.T. industry and would later invite Omar to collaborate and be part of other upcoming projects.

What Omar learned is that all the lecturers and I.T. industries employers he built a network with had a similar pattern on their profiles which is that they showed their progress from when they started and where they are now. This is a good presentation to future industries where they can exactly see what you worked with and what skills you possess.

By following popular, profitable industries such as Cisco, IBM, Dialog Information Technology, Infosys all of the mentioned ones are searching for similar technical skills that have to applied to be part of these industries. Having skills in information and network security, troubleshooting, problem solving are one of the popular ones (Florentin, 2017). The main goal of these companies is to design, develop, manage and support I.T. solutions to help their clients which Omar would like to be part of. (Infosys, 2019)
